Oxygen is essential to survival. It is relatively stable in the air, but when too much is absorbed into the body it can become active and unstable and has a tendency to attach itself to any biological molecule, including molecules of healthy cells. The chemical activity of these free radicals is due to one or more pairs of unpaired electrons.

About 2% of the oxygen we normally breathe becomes active oxygen, and this amount increases to approximately 20% with aerobic exercise.

Such free radicals with unpaired electrons are unstable and have a high oxidation potential, which means they are capable of stealing electrons from other cells. This chemical mechanism is very useful in disinfectants such as hydrogen peroxide and ozone which can be used to sterilize wounds or medical instruments. Inside the body these free radicals are of great benefit due to their abiility to attack and eliminate bacteria, viruses and other waste products.

 

Problems arise, however, when too many of these free radicals are turned loose in the body where they can also damage normal tissue.

Putrefaction sets in when microbes in the air invade the proteins, peptides, and amino acids of eggs, fish and meat. The result is an array of unpleasant substances such as:

  • Hydrogen sulfide
  • Ammonia
  • Histamines
  • Indoles
  • Phenols
  • Scatoles

These substances are also produced naturally in the digestive tract when we digest food, resulting in the unpleasant odor evidenced in feces. Putrefaction of spoiled food is caused by microbes in the air; this natural process is duplicated in the digestive tract by intestinal microbes. All these waste products of digestion are pathogenic, that is, they can cause disease in the body.

Hydrogen sulfide and ammonia are tissue toxins that can damage the liver. Histamines contribute to allergic disorders such as atopic dermatitis, urticaria (hives) and asthma. Indoles and phenols are considered carcinogenic.

Because waste products such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, histamines, phenols and indoles are toxic, the body's defense mechanisms try to eliminate them by releasing neutrophils (a type of leukocyte, or white corpuscle). These neutrophils produce active oxygen, oddball oxygen molecules that are capable of scavenging disintegrating tissues by gathering electrons from the molecules of toxic cells.

Problems arise, however, when too many of these active oxygen molecules, or free radicals, are produced in the body. They are extremely reactive and can also attach themselves to normal, healthy cells and damage them genetically. These active oxygen radicals steal electrons from normal, healthy biological molecules. This electron theft by active oxygen oxidizes tissue and can cause disease.

Because active oxygen can damage normal tissue, it is essential to scavenge this active oxygen from the body before it can cause disintegration of healthy tissue. If we can find an effective method to block the oxidation of healthy tissue by active oxygen, then we can attempt to prevent disease.

 

One way to protect healthy tissue from the ravages of oxidation caused by active oxygen is to provide free electrons to active oxygen radicals, thus neutralizing their high oxidation potential and preventing them from reacting with healthy tissue.

Research on the link between diet and cancer is far from complete, but some evidence indicates that what we eat may affect our susceptibility to cancer. Some foods seem to help defend against cancer, others appear to promote it.

Much of the damage caused by carcinogenic substances in food may come about because of an oxidation reaction in the cell. In this process, an oddball oxygen molecule may damage the genetic code of the cell. Some researchers believe that substances that prevent oxidation -- called ANTIOXIDANTS -- can block the damage. This leads naturally to the theory that the intake of natural antioxidants could be an important aspect of the body's defense against cancer. Substances that some believe inhibit cancer include vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, selenium, and gluthione (an amino acid). These substances are reducing agents. They supply eletrons to free radicals and block the interaction of the free radical with normal tissue.

 

The presence of toxic waste products such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, histamines, indoles, phenols and scatoles impart an offensive odor to human feces. In the medical profession, it is well known that patients suffering from hepatitis and cirrhosis pass particularly odoriferous stools.

Excessively offensive stools caused by the presence of toxins are indicators of certain diseases, and the body responds to the presence of these toxins by producing neutrophil leukocytes to release active oxygen in an attempt to neutralize the damage to organs that can be caused by such waste products. But when an excess amount of such active oxygen is produced, it can damage healthy cells as well as neutralize toxins. This leads us to the conclusion that we can minimize the harmful effect of these active oxygen radicals by reducing them with an ample supply of electrons.

 

There is no substitute for a healthy balanced diet, especially rich in antioxidant materials such as vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, and other foods that are good for us. However, these substances are not the best source of free electrons that can block the oxidation of healthy tissue by active oxygen.

Water treated by electrolysis to increase its reduction potential is the best solution to the problem of providing a safe source of free electrons to block the oxidation of normal tissue by free oxygen radicals. We believe that reduced water, water with an excess of free electrons to donate to active oxygen, is the best solution because:

The reduction potential of water can be dramatically increased over other antioxidants in food or vitamin supplements. The molecule weight of reduced water is low, making it fast acting and able to reach all tissues of the body in a very short time.

 

Ionic Water is the product of mild electrolysis which takes place in the Ionic Water unit. The production of Ionic Water, its properties, and how it works in the human body are described in the next section. Ionic Water is treated tap water that has not only been filtered, but has also been reformed in that it provides reduced water with a large mass of electrons that can be donated to active oxygen in the body to block the oxidation of normal cells. Substances which have the ability to counteract active oxygen by supplying electrons are called scavengers. Reduced water, therefore, can be called scavenging water.

 

Today we read much about correct dieting principles and paying attention to what we eat in order to stay healthy. This is a sensible practice, but it is surprising that many of us don't realize that the bulk of what we eat is composed of water. Vegetables and fruits are 90% water; fish and meat are about 70% water as well.

Even advocates of the importance of vitamin C in diet staples have to admit that its potency, namely, the redox potential of this important vitamin, rapidly diminishes with age and preparation for the dining table. Carbohydrates, the main consistent of vegetables and fruit, has a molecular weight of 180 whereas water has a much lower molecular weight of 18.

Ionic Water, with its low molecular weight and high reduction potential, makes it a superior scavenging agent of active oxygen. But electrolysis inside the Ionic Water unit not only charges the reduced water with electrons, it also reduces the size of reduced water molecule clusters.

NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) analysis reveals that tap water and well water consists of clusters of 10 to 13 H20 molecules. Electrolysis of water in the Ionic Water unit reduces these clusters to about half their normal size -- 5 to 6 water molecules per cluster.

 

Ionised water which is alkaline and electrolytic with its low mlecular weight, smaller molecule clusters and scavenging ability, is a better antioxident than anything else as it is more available to the cells of the body, and you are able to, and should drink plenty of it. The other immense advantage is the alkalinity of the water and its ability to flush out the body systems of the fatty acid build ups which cause obesity, artherosclerosis leading to heart and stroke problems, cancer, arthritus etc.

 

Uric acid is nearly insoluble in water, alcohol, and ether, but soluble in solutions of alkaline salts, In other words, it becomes soluble in alkaline water. Arthritis and gout are caused by uric acid deposited between the joints, non-dissolved due to the low alkalinity of an older person's blood. Drinking acid free alkaline water will gradually elevate one's blood pH and the gout will disappear naturally.

As we live with poor waste disposal systems for a long period of time, some parts of our body build up more acids than others, and they can clog up capillary vessels around those acidic areas. This causes some body organs to function in a sluggish manner. A simple test you can do to measure your susceptibility to cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis arthritis, and many other degenerative diseases.

 

Wait at least 2 hours after eating. Fill your mouth with saliva and then swallow it. Do this again to help ensure that the saliva is clean. Then the third time, put some saliva onto pH paper.

The pH paper should turn blue. This indicates that your saliva is slightly alkaline at a healthy pH of 7.4. If it is not blue, compare the color with the chart that comes with the pH paper. If your saliva is acid (below pH of 7.0) wait two hours and repeat the test.

 

"When healthy, the pH of blood is 7.4, the pH of spinal fluid is 7.4, and the pH of saliva is 7.4. Virtually all degenerative diseases including cancer, heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, kidney and gall stones, and tooth decay are associated with excess acidity in the body. While the body has a homeostatic mechanism that maintains a constant pH 7.4 in the blood, this mechanism works by depositing and withdrawing acid and alkaline minerals from other locations including the bones, soft tissues, body fluids and saliva. Therefore, the pH of these other tissues can fluctuate greatly. The pH of saliva offers a window through which you can see the overall pH balance in your body.

Cancer cannot exist in an alkaline environment. All forms of arthritis are associated with excess acidity. Acid in the body dissolves both teeth and bones. Whatever health situation you are faced with, you can monitor your progress toward a proper acid/alkaline balance by testing your saliva pH.

 

Water (H2O) ionizes into hydrogen (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-) ions. When these ions are in equal proportions, the pH is a neutral 7. When there are more H+ ions than OH- ions then the water is said to be acid. If OH- ions outnumber the H+ ions then the water is alkaline. The pH scale goes from 0 to 14 and is logarithmic, which means that each step is ten times the previous. In other words, a pH of 4.5 is 10 times more acid than 5.5, 100 times more acid than 6.5 and 1,000 times more acid than 7.5.

The following plans will describe in detail how to make an acid/alkaline water charger to experiment with your own charge water at home. Acid/alkaline water is also known as micro-cluster water? By supplying a low voltage charge (12v) to a positive electrode in one partition of the charger container and a negative electrode in the other partition of the container, you can get ordinary tap water to separate into acid water at the positive side, and alkaline water on the negative side. The water actually undergoes a change of its electrical state. It does this by changing the pH level of the water. Negative electrons are attracted to the positive protons on the positive plate side. The pH scale ranges from 0 on the acidic end to 14 on the alkaline end. A solution is considered neutral if its pH is 7. At a pH of 7 water contains equal concentrations of H+ and OH- ions. Substances with a pH less than 7 are acidic because they contain a higher concentration of H+ ions. Substances with a pH higher than 7 are alkaline because they contain a higher concentration of OH- than H+. The pH scale is a log scale so a change of one pH unit means a factor of ten in the concentration of hydrogen ions.

 
  • Purchase - one Click-Clack (NZ) 2.4 litre storage container, the upright type, these are thick, fairly rigid plastic.
  • One Cuisine 6 litre storage container.
  • A rectangular plastic basket/container, for a grill, the type shops use for displaying small parts, it needs to have grid or mesh bottom and sides so that water can pass through, ($2 shops, Emporiums).
  • A packet of small plastic screws and nuts about 10mm long, (Electronics parts store, Dick Smiths).
  • Two small crocodile clips different colours for positive and negative, (Electronics parts store, Dick Smiths).
  • Electric power point adapter 230v - 12v or 24v, some cell phone chargers are 12v. You may find one in a second hand store, (Dick Smiths)
  • A synthetic chamois (PVA) (Hammer Hardware).
  • Two Stainless Steel plates about 1mm thick, 10cm wide and 5mm higher than the inside of the container. For these containers 10 x 19 and 10 x 22 centimetres
 
  • Cut a piece of the basket out at least 10cm square or 10 x 15 cm.
  • Mark out one large side of the 2 litre Click-Clack container at least one cm smaller all round than the plastic mesh and the top about 5cm below the top of the container.
  • Wedge a block of wood inside the container to support the side and drill as many 6 to 7mm holes as you can.
  • Smooth off any burrs on the outside.
  • Drill holes in the corners of the plastic mesh for the plastic screws to go through, and every 2 to 3cms along the sides.
  • Hold the mesh over the container where it will go and drill a hole through one corner.
  • Fit one screw in the corner, then drill through the opposite corner and fit a screw, then the other corners.
  • Drill through the holes in the sides.
  • Remove the screws and mesh and the block of wood.
  • Smooth off the burrs on the inside of the container and the outside.
  • Wet the chamois and wring out and cut a piece slightly larger than the plastic mesh.
  • Hold the mesh over the chamois on a board and bore holes in the chamois where the screws go through, or mark the holes and then bore holes in the chamois.
  • Remove any straggly bits from the chamois and rinse it a few times and wring it out.
  • Rinse out the container and dry it.
  • Assemble the mesh over the chamois onto the container and fit the screws.
  • Rinse out the whole ioniser in and out.
  • Cut off the plug on the end of the adapter 12v lead and fit on the crocodile clips, if you have a test meter you can check polarity. Otherwise you can try out the ioniser, the acid water has a brown tinge to it and should be in the large container, if the brown water is in the small container reverse the clips.
  • The small container is placed in one corner of the large container with the permeable membrane exposed to the water, the smaller SS plate is placed opposite the membrane, the other plate is placed in the short side of the large container.
  • Fill both containers to about one centimetre from the top with water, it is preferable to use a filtering device.
  • With a clean membrane the alkaline water will be about 10 Ph in 8 hours but as the membrane gets browner you will need to increase that, my ioniser is left on for 12 hours. You will know it has worked by seeing lots of bubbles on the sides of the container and the water in the large container is brownish. When emptying lift out the small container quickly and tip the water to a corner away from the membrane and into a jug.
 

Two glasses nearly full of water placed together, a stainless steel teaspoon in each leaning against the further extremities, a 6 x 4 cm piece of plastic over the join and a 10 cm long wad of cotton or rayon wool over that. You can use cloth or anything that will allow water to pass through it. Plug in the adapter and connect the crocodile clips to the spoons and switch on, should be ready in four hours. Drink the clear water, put the brownish water on the plants.

Western medicine does not attempt to remove acid wastes from the physiological system; so today's modern medicine is deficient in treating adult diseases. Even if medicines cure the disease, and the acids are not removed form the body; the treatment's effectiveness will only be temporary. Bad diets, including meat and potatoes, fried foods, refined bread, soft drink colas and sugars, build up acid salts in the body. Often these deposits, by having to be stored away from the blood flow, can remain in the body for decades. Stress, both mental and physical, can create acid deposits in the body. Alkaline electrlytic water, is the best long term treatment for a lot of diseases including the organs ie heart, liver, kidneys, lungs and therefor every complaint affected by these, it also destroys cancer tumours. It is probably the best anti-aging substance as it is antioxident and much more available to the body cells, due to the low molecule structure, than vegetables, fruit, or herbs. It removes plaque, cholesteral, fat etc. from the arterial tubes the blood is pumped through, reducing high blood pressure and angina and heart attacks through artherosclerosis. Try this, a glass sized water ioniser, you will need:

  • A 240v AC to 12v DC power converter, the same as used for charging cell phones.
  • Red and black small insulated crocodile clips with wire on them. (If you have a cell phone charger you will need to connect two crocodile clips to the leads or outlet, you may want to get someone to do that for you. If you don't have one go to an electronics supply shop and see if they will do it for you when you buy it, they are not expensive.)
  • A strip of cotton or rayon wool 3inches long, and about half to threequarters around. A strip of plastic 2 inches long by three quarters, to go underneath the cotton wool.
  • 2 stainless steel teaspoons or knives etc as electrodes.
  • 2 glasses nearly full of filtered water, or you can use jars. If you don't have a filter, get one, you need to filter your water, but in the meantime you could get a bottle of mineral water.

Place the two glasses touching at the top, wet the cotton wool and place it over the glasses with the ends in the water and the plastic underneath to stop leaking. place the spoons at the far ends of the glasses and connect the crocodile clips to the spoons. Plug in the power supply, switch on and leave it for 4 hours. You will have one glass of brown water at the positive side, this is acid and one of crystal clear alkaline electrolytic water to drink of about 10 ph, at the negative side. The acid water is a good dissinfectant, can be used safely on the skin, sores, insect bites, hair, gargle or mouth wash. The 12v DC supply is safe you won't get a shock from it. For a larger amount of water you can use two,one or two pint preserving jars.

The ioniser can be left on overnight so that you have fresh ionised water in the morning, then start a new lot, to drink in the afternoon. The water should be used within 18 hours as it gradually loses its main effect.

 

As the body consumes toxins, the kidneys become over burdened with acid wastes. Nephritis, uremia poisoning, and bladder problems are all acid related conditions which can be treated by the consumption of alkaline water. Kidney stones begin as tiny specks and they gradually build into solid stones, composed of phosphates, urates and others. They are another form of acidic salts. Dr. Keiichi Morishita in his book, "The Hidden Truth of Cancer", states that if the blood develops a more acidic condition, then these acidic wastes have to be deposited somewhere in the body. If this unhealthy process continues year after year, these areas steadily increase in acidity, and their cells begin to die. Other cells in the affected area may survive by becoming abnormal; these are called malignant. Malignant cells do not respond to brain commands. They undergo a cellular division that is out of control. This is called cancer. Modern medicine in America treats these malignant cells as if they were bacteria or viruses. It uses chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery to treat cancer. Yet none of theses treatments will help very much, if after all the acidic environment remains.

Drinking water that has a high alkaline pH, because of its de-acidifying effect, will help in preventing cancer, and in Asia, alkaline water is regularly served to patients.

Dr. Otto Warburg received the Nobel Prize for discovering that the Cause of Cancer is due to lack of ozygen. No diseases can exist in a much oxygen and alkaline environment. Plenty of oxygen and an alkaline environment then, can cure diseases and prevent diseases.

In some extreme cases, the build up of acidic elements are so great that it starts to destroy healthy cells around them. Healthy cells must maintain a slightly alkaline pH level. Some cells change their formula in order to survive in an acidic environment. If they are successful, this is the beginning of cancer. Cancer cells are acidic while healthy cells are alkaline. Even if the cancerous tumors are completely removed surgically, as long as the acidic conditions in the area remain, the chances are that new tumors will develop around the same area.

   

Useful in improving the constitution, and regulates physical condition. Unlike tap water, you can drink large quantities of alkaline ion water without the risk of stomach upset, but you should limit the amount you drink to 50% of your body weight in ounces.

  • Unusual gastrointestinal fermentation: drinking alkaline water on an empty stomach is effective.
  • Constipation and stiff shoulders: drinking before meals is effective.
  • Diarrhea: increase the amount, depending on the symptoms.
  • High or low blood pressure: drinking on an empty stomach or one hour before eating is effective.
  • Diabetes: drinking three cups or more of alkaline ion water on an empty stomach is effective.
 

Compared to conventional methods of preparation, the use of ground coffee, tea, and juices are greatly economized and enhanced.

  • Tea: makes the color of the tea vivid, lessens it's astringency, and makes it mellow and delicious.
  • Coffee: you can use less coffee grounds and still have the same flavor and strength.
  • Alcohol and water: imparts a mellow and delicious taste and prevents the negative physical reactions associated with drinking alcoholic beverages.
 

Brings out the real taste of the food, resulting in sufficient flavor even when the amount of seasonings is reduced by as much as 1/3 from the amount used in conventional methods of preparation.

  • Cooked foods: the flavor of the foods is brought out well, and the food is tender. The taste comes out fully even with the amount of seasoning.
  • Cooked fish: the meat of the fish is firm and the shape is maintained.
  • Steeping, washing, and parboiling green vegetables: the green color is brought out because of the chlorophyll does not change, giving the prepared vegetables vivid color.
  • Removes harsh taste from vegetables.
  • Removal of blood from liver and red meats: when liver or red meats are steeped in alkaline ion water for 20-30 minutes, the blood is drawn out and odors are eliminated.
  • Cooking beans: the beans only need to be steeped in water for a short time before cooking.
  • Cooking water for rice: helps prevent spoilage.
