About Us

Fraser Redmond

I'm a great believer in making life easier for ones self. Ever since I started using computers I've found them to be a great tool and ease of use has always been a driving force in how I use them - as well as exhibiting itself in other areas too. I also love to learn, especially practical things - usually they make life easier.

In April 2001 I returned from serving a 2-year full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Melbourne, Australia. While there I learnt a lot, grew a lot, made many friends and had many incredible experiences.

I have many places I call home. I grew up in Feilding NZ, then when I was 14 my parents and I moved to Te Awamutu NZ. At age 17 I left home and moved in with my brothers in Mt Roskill/Mt Eden, Auckland, NZ. I stayed with them until I was almost 20 when I left on my mission. I spent the last 7 months of my mission in Moe and it felt like home right from the start. After my mission I moved in with my brother Owen again in Glen Innes NZ. Soon after I was on the plane again, this time travelling to the UK. Soon after arriving in London I met a very special and beautiful woman who I fell in love with, married, and set up a new home with. Three and a half years later we caught a 26-hour flight to New Zealand, where we've settled (for now) back in Te Awamutu.

(ps. I hope you found this enlightening, but if not then read the more entertaining version.)

Monique Redmond

I was born in Toronto, Canada, though my parents are Scottish. They immigrated to Toronto from England before I was born. My two older brothers were both born in England. I graduated from BYU in 1996 with a teaching qualification in elementary education (primary school).I returned home and unable to find work in Toronto, I decided to work in London as a supply/relieving/substitute teacher in primary schools. I've been here since 1998. According to Fraser, I am really cute, and I go beyond cute to beautiful when I smile (although he admits to being biased.)

One of the differences that Fraser and I have is that I am a jock. I love sports, especially Badminton, Volleyball, and Football (Soccer). One similarity we share is that were both book-worms, fortunately enjoying the same genres, primarily science-fiction and fantasy. I also enjoy doing crafts, especially cross-stitch. I've had many callings in the church but these days I am a Sunday School Teacher.

Marokopa Waterfall

We took our nephews down to see the glow-worms at Waitomo Caves, we weren't able to take any photos of them, but we also went out along a windy road to one of NZ's prettiest waterfalls. Take a look for yourself.

Congratulations Owen and Moana

Fraser's brother Owen was sealed to his wife, Moana recently, which was great to be here for. We also got to meet Moana's family afterwards. (Not sure what this means? Read this.)

In Case You Missed It...

Free backup software

Fraser had spent a while looking for a good backup solution until he came across Mozy. You register an account with them, install their program on your computer, and tell it what you want to be backed up, and then it backs up those files to their servers quickly and securely. 2gb of free storage, and the easiest and best backup solution Fraser's ever seen.
