Bark

  • Saltine Crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 bag (12oz) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  1. Line a 10"x15"x1" cookie sheet with foil.
  2. Line bottom with saltine Crackers, all touching, filling in the spaces at the end of row with pieces of crackers
  3. On the stove top, melt butter and sugar to a boil. Lower hear to low boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla
  5. Pour butter mixture over crackers
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked saltines, when melted, spread all over.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  8. Refrigerate pan
  9. When cold, break into irregular pieces
